A Business Built on Love: How Gateway Visuals Turned a Love Story into Cinematic Wedding Films

In March 2020, everything changed. I was 9 months pregnant, just days away from giving birth, and my husband’s career as a mobile event marketing tour manager came to a sudden halt. Like many, we thought the shutdowns would last a few weeks — but they didn’t.

We found ourselves with a newborn daughter, recovering from a major C-section, no job security, and a rapidly shrinking savings account. It was terrifying.

But even in the fear, I saw a spark. I told my husband it was time to pivot — to bet on himself and finally pursue what he truly loved: videography. For years, he had been filming our life together — not for followers, not for content, but because he loved me so much he wanted to always have a way to remember my smile, my laugh, our memories. That passion, I knew, had power. We took what little we had left and built a business from the ground up.

Five years later, Gateway Visuals is a two-time award-winning video production company. We specialize in reality TV-style cinematic wedding films that capture the love stories of real people, in real moments. We have faced heartbreak, setbacks, and sleepless nights — but we’ve also found purpose. And now, our dream is helping others preserve theirs.
